1. choose [tʃuz] 動：選擇 (choose-chose-chosen)

Let everyone choose for themselves. 

(讓每個人為自己選擇。)

She chose her words carefully.

2. next to 片：在…旁邊

There is a public library next to her house.
(有一座公共圖書館在她家旁邊。)

The fish market is next to the bridge.

3. blackboard [ˋblæk͵bord] 名：黑板

Please write your name on the blackboard.

(請把你的名字寫在黑板上。)

The teacher wrote the final exam date on the blackboard this morning.

4. give up 片：放棄 (give up-gave up-given up)

5. writer [' raɪtɚ] 名：作家

6. pocket [' pɑkɪt] 名：口袋

He took out a coin from his pocket.
