就讀台北縣平溪國中一年級的詹博堯，小學時成績並不好，不過升上國中後卻對功課認真了起來。原來博堯以前個性火爆衝動，上了國中，班導師除了用記優點的獎勵方式之外，還讓博堯擔任幹部，讓他從中學習如何跟別人相處，也因此激起他的榮譽感，讓他在課業上也想好好表現。<br />

博堯從小就沒有爸媽陪伴在身邊，扶養他長大的是阿嬤還有大伯一家人。勤勞的阿嬤閒不下來，偶爾會接一些畚箕訂單來貼補家用，雖然博堯對於編畚箕一竅不通，但看到阿嬤這麼辛苦，他總會在一旁打雜。而一到假日，博堯就會去大伯的菜園幫忙，雖然不會種菜，但是他還是善盡小助手的責任。<br />

攪拌草仔，添加柴火，博堯和阿嬤就這麼在廚房裡忙個不停，隨著上升的蒸氣，草仔的香味滿溢了整個廚房，遵循古法熬煮的草仔茶，沒有太多花樣，也沒有添加人工甘味，卻是博堯心中最好喝的草仔茶。不加糖的草仔茶，就像阿嬤對博堯的疼愛，說不出什麼大道理，平淡無華中卻有著濃郁的甘甜滋味。 <br />
