鸚鵡救火<br />

有隻鸚鵡飛到其他樹林中，樹林中的各種動物都和牠相處得非常融洽，不但不欺負牠，反而還相當照顧牠。鸚鵡住了一陣子後，心想：「雖然大家待我很好，但這裡終究不是我的故鄉。」於是告別了森林及動物們，返回家鄉。<br />
幾個月過後，這座森林發生大火，熊熊的火燄吞噬森林，鳥獸亡命奔走，路經此地的鸚鵡，見到這種情景，立刻飛竄進水中，將自己的羽毛沾濕，然後飛到大火上方，滴下羽毛上的水滴，如此往來了幾趟。<br />
天神看見了便問：「鸚鵡啊！你怎麼那麼?？千里之火，豈會因你身上幾滴水而澆滅呢？」鸚鵡回答天神：「我怎會不知道這是白費力氣的？可是這裡的動物曾待我如兄弟，如今發生大火，我豈能坐視不管！」<br />
天神聽了鸚鵡的話，被牠真誠感動，隨手一揮，就用雨水將大火給滅了。<br />
