John Bernhard (born Might 17, 1957, Geneva, Switzerland) is a Swiss American performer as well as professional photographer best recognized for his surrealist topless studies. Instead of merely revealing women's bodies, Bernhard overlaid factors of the earth via projections and also used beliefs of transformation as a subtext for his design digital photography. The resulting photos consist of allusions to the component by which the models are soaked up or in to which they go away. His job was featured in the 120 year survey of the unclothed event "Body Job" at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, along with the work of Edward Weston, Costs Brandt, Eadweard Muybridge, E. J. Bellocq, and Edward Steichen. Bernhard later on proceeded to devote all his power taking pictures and bringing them all together to enhance their meaning with visual interplay. This appears in his "Diptychs" and sequencing series "Stray". He was profiled in the documentary show "Temps Present" on Swiss Tv TSR (Switzerland) as well as the worldwide network TV5 Monde. His work is commonly released and shown throughout the USA as well as Europe. His photos are gathered by countless museums featuring the Art gallery of Fine Arts, Houston; Akron Craft Exhibition, Ohio; Denver Art Exhibition; Musee de l'Elysee, Site officiel [1] Lausanne, Switzerland; Museet for Fotokunst, Internet site officiel Denmark; the New Mexico Gallery of Craft; Polk Art gallery of Craft, as well as the Swiss National Collection, Bern. His job was shown in 2004 as a major mid-career retrospective exhibit at the Musee des Suisses dans le Monde in Geneva. John Bernhard lives and also operates in Houston, Texas.
