Second Letter From American (Thank you)

Hello Friends, I am not sure what happened, but my last e-mail (two weeks ago) came back to me. Sorry! I replied to your thoughtful e-mail something as follows: Thank you for the kind words you sent to us! You are right, everyone is sad at this time. This attack on America has effected everyone throughout the world. But, it is great friends like yourself that help our hearts to heal. Kind words, prayer, and love helps mankind to keep going. I know you are a wonderful and caring person and I am grateful to have this opportunity to have your friendship. Thank you for your thoughts!

Third Letter From American (Hello from the USA)

Dear students,

Hello! We are a fifth grade class from the United States of America. We are proud of our Country although we have suffered a terrible tragedy in one of our cities. Did you hear about this attack? We are working hard to support our neighbors and loved ones during this hard time.

親愛的學生們：

哈囉！我們是一個來自美國五年級的班級。雖然我們的一個的城市遭受到恐怖的悲劇事件，但我們仍然以我們的國家為榮。你知道這個攻擊事件嗎？在這艱苦的時期裡，我們正努力的幫助我們的鄰居以及愛我們的鄰居。

We are studying the history of the USA and learning how we gained our freedom over 200 years ago. We are a group of people who vote for our leaders. Our leader's name is President George W. Bush. Tonight he is speaking to our Country on television. He tells us that our Country is safe and that there are good people everywhere and that good overcomes evil. Thank you for being our "good" friends. Although, we have different cultures and beliefs, we all feel love, anger, sadness and gladness. We are all people who want to be treated equally. Do you agree?

我們正在學習美國的歷史以及兩百年前我們是如何獲取自由的。我們是一群投票給我們領導者的人。我們領導者的名字是喬治威爾斯‧布希總統。今晚他在電視上發表全國演說。他告訴我們我們的國家目前很安全，並且各地都有善良的人們，而善良一定會克服邪惡的。謝謝你做我們「善良」的朋友。雖然我們擁有不同的文化與信念，但我們都可以感受到愛、憤怒、哀傷與喜悅。我們都是希望被平等對待的人們。你同意嗎？
