1. thirsty ['θɝstɪ] 形：口渴的

We are thirsty. We need some water.

(我們口渴了。我們需要一些水。)

He felt thirsty after he finished his speech.

◎記憶技巧thirsty=thirst (名：口渴) + -y (形容詞字尾)

2. dirty [ˋdɝtɪ] 形：骯髒的 (乾淨的：clean)

This book is boring. I don’t like it at all.

We saw a boring movie last night.

8. east [ist] 名：東方、形：東方的

The sun rises in the east.

(太陽從東方升起。)

Japan is in the east of Asia.

9. west [wɛst] 名：西方、形：西方的 (east：東方)

The park is in the west of this city.

(公園在這個城市的西方。)

The sun sets in the west.
